Yesterday was the 10th Annual Increase The Peace, Stop The Violence Blacktop Classic at Lincoln High School. I dropped off 25+ donated copies of Between The World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Buck by @mkasante. While there, I got to talk to @normanpowell4, a Southeast San Diego basketball legend, @raptors guard and a man who constantly gives back and comes back to his community. These are the type of men we should celebrate. Thanks Norman for your consistency with our youth and your support of 'Vinnie: a love letter', my first novel.
